Alan Feast has an MGA where he has modified the Judson to take an SU carburetor.

“I've converted mine to run on an SU and it's certainly transformed  the car. Biggest issue was getting a manifold made up.it was a scratch built manifold I bought from a guy in the US. Using it with a stock SU and pancake filter.  I bought 1/2 an Austin Healey 3000 set up from a guy at Beaulieu  autojumble who has spent his life with SU carbs, and the fella who tuned it in said it was a good choice. I am running an Ignitor  (Pertronix) distributor, and a 1500 MGA block with low comp (actually flat top pistons and an MGB head opened up and flowed to get the compression ratio down).
